Although larger than anticipated, this is a fabulous litter ...barrel. The circular shape and all in one construction eliminates the dreaded "wee corner" that led to sticking, smell, and occasional leaking in my previous conventional 2 piece stainless rectangular box. Despite not having a lid, my two cats are much happier with the way they can distributethe litter in this one to hide smells better. The cat that used to scratch the walls after using the old box now no longer does, and she complains about using the tray much less. The other cat doesn't spend as long digging to a foreign country as he used to do in the other tray either. With plenty of room to turn around,everyoneis much happier. Also, the larger capacity and open top allow the litter to do its job better, it seems. Everything is more dessicated when I come to clean it out, making my job easier. I also commend the qualityof the scoop and the mat the come with the litter box as both are top notch. I'm currently using millet litter, which has a tendency to track, but the mat catches most of it. And thescoophas holes of just the right size to filter well and nothing sticks to it.
